Polder Light
Notes on light, water and flat horizons.
About
A small personal notebook about walking and photographing the reclaimed lands of the Netherlands: dikes, canals, windmills and the long, low light that comes with them.
Recent notes
Early November mornings along the Hoge Vaart: fog sitting on the water until about ten, then a sudden clear sky. Best light is short this time of year, so plan the walk backwards from sunrise.
Flevoland is younger than most of the people living in it. Every straight road here was drawn on paper first, and it shows in the photographs.
